Level 4 -- Practitioner Certification

Develop Others.
Build Institutions.
Leave a Legacy.

Most development stops at the self. The world needs people who take what they have built and give it to others.

The Practitioner Certification is the highest programme currently offered by SRLHD. It is not a training course -- it is a formation. Over twelve courses organised in three movements, you develop the vocation, the skills, the ethics, and the institutional vision of a professional human developer.

Who This Is For

Called to develop others

This programme is not for those interested in their own development. It is for those who are called to develop others -- professionally, vocationally, and at depth.

Coaches and Mentors

Professional coaches and mentors who want the intellectual depth, ethical framework, and structured methodology of a serious human development practice behind their work.

Organisational Leaders

Senior leaders who have realised that developing the people around them is the most important leadership discipline they can practise -- and who want to do it with rigour.

Educators and Facilitators

Teachers, trainers, and facilitators who have moved beyond content delivery and want to understand the deeper vocation of genuinely developing human beings.

Community Builders

Those who lead communities, movements, or organisations whose mission is the flourishing of the people they serve -- and who want that mission grounded in serious formation.

Therapists and Counsellors

Mental health professionals and counsellors who want to extend their developmental capacity beyond therapeutic frameworks into the full architecture of human formation.

Institution Builders

Founders and leaders building organisations whose purpose is to develop human beings across generations -- schools, training organisations, NGOs, and professional bodies.

Programme Structure

Three Movements

The programme moves from inward formation, through the art of working with individuals, to the challenge of building institutions that develop people at scale.

01

PRAC 401 -- 404

The Practitioner's Foundation

Before you can develop others, you must understand the vocation itself. This movement examines what it means to be called to develop human beings, the major theories of human development, the ethics of influence, and the inner life of the practitioner.

  • PRAC 401 -- The Vocation of the Developer
  • PRAC 402 -- Theories of Human Development
  • PRAC 403 -- The Ethics of Influence
  • PRAC 404 -- The Examined Practitioner

02

PRAC 405 -- 408

The Practitioner at the Human Scale

The art of working with one person, or a small group, over time. This movement develops the skills of developmental dialogue, long-term mentoring, facilitation as development, and the ability to read where people actually are.

  • PRAC 405 -- The Art of Developmental Dialogue
  • PRAC 406 -- Mentoring and the Long Relationship
  • PRAC 407 -- Facilitation as Development
  • PRAC 408 -- Reading Where People Are

03

PRAC 409 -- 412

The Practitioner at Institutional Scale

What does it mean to build something that develops people beyond your own lifetime? This movement examines institutions and culture, working with power and resistance, building for generations, and closes with the Practitioner Capstone.

  • PRAC 409 -- Institutions and the Development of Culture
  • PRAC 410 -- Working with Power and Resistance
  • PRAC 411 -- Building for Generations
  • PRAC 412 -- The Practitioner Capstone

What This Is

How we think about practitioner formation

The standards we hold for our practitioners are the same standards we hold for ourselves. There are no exceptions.

This is a formation, not a training

The Practitioner Certification does not teach you techniques for developing others. It forms you as a developer of human beings. That is a different thing entirely -- and it takes longer, goes deeper, and demands more of you.

You cannot give what you have not received

Every practitioner who enters this programme has already been through SRLHD formation as a student. That is not bureaucracy -- it is integrity. You cannot challenge someone to examine their reasoning if you have never had your own examined. You cannot guide someone through genuine reflection if you have never done it yourself.

The highest programme carries the highest standard

The Practitioner Certification is the highest student programme SRLHD offers. We do not lower the bar because demand is high. We maintain the standard because the people our practitioners will develop deserve nothing less.

Learning Outcomes

What you will be able to do

The Practitioner Certification is not a credential you collect. It is a capacity you develop -- over twelve months of serious, structured formation -- that changes how you see and work with human beings.

  • Practise human development with professional depth and ethical clarity
  • Conduct developmental dialogue and long-term mentoring relationships
  • Facilitate group learning that develops rather than merely informs
  • Read where people are developmentally and respond with precision
  • Work with institutions to build cultures of genuine human development
  • Build and sustain structures that develop human beings across generations
  • Complete a substantial Capstone demonstrating integrated practitioner mastery

PRAC 412

The Practitioner Capstone

The programme closes with PRAC 412 -- the Practitioner Capstone. This is a substantial original submission in which you articulate your practitioner philosophy, demonstrate your command of the three movements, and present a concrete plan for how you will use this formation in the world.

The Capstone is submitted by email to admissions@srlhd.org. It represents the culmination of twelve months of formation across all three movements.

This is where formation becomes vocation.

Entry Requirements

This programme
demands readiness

The Practitioner Certification assumes you have completed serious prior formation and are genuinely called to bring that formation to bear on the development of others. Entry is not automatic. It begins with a conversation.

What is Required

Completion of the Advanced Diploma, or demonstrated equivalent formation at that level
A clear sense of vocation -- this programme is for those called to develop others, not merely themselves
Readiness to commit to twelve months of serious, structured work

Methodology

Taught through the CLEAR Framework

Every SRLHD programme is delivered through the CLEAR Framework -- a structured approach that prioritises depth of understanding over breadth of content covered.

C

Challenge

Begin with a real problem -- not a manufactured scenario. Every module opens with a genuine dilemma.

L

Learn

Rigorous content delivered in context -- not abstracted from the problems you face in practice.

E

Examine

Structured Socratic questioning, peer critique, and examination of your own reasoning.

A

Apply

Real application in your actual context -- your work, your relationships, your developmental practice.

R

Reflect

Disciplined reflection as a practice -- extracting genuine insight from experience, not performing it.

Read the CLEAR Framework paper

“The world teaches people how to earn a living. We teach them how to live wisely. The Practitioner Certification exists for those who go further still -- who commit their formation to the service of others.”
