Educator Licensing Programme

Teach what matters most —
with the rigour it deserves

SRLHD reaches further through the educators it certifies than through any programme it delivers directly.

The Educator Licensing programme enables qualified individuals and organisations to deliver SRLHD curriculum in their own contexts — schools, universities, workplaces, communities, and independent practice — under licence, with full support, and with the authority to issue SRLHD-verified credentials.

Who This Is For

Every context where people learn from people

If you teach, train, facilitate, or develop other human beings in any setting — this programme may be for you.

Secondary School Teachers

Educators who want to bring reasoning, leadership, and human development into their existing classrooms — not as an add-on, but as a discipline.

University Lecturers

Academics seeking to integrate SRLHD methodology into undergraduate or postgraduate curricula, whether as standalone modules or embedded pedagogical practice.

Corporate Trainers and L&D Professionals

Learning and development professionals who deliver leadership and capability programmes within organisations and want to use rigorous, evidence-based content.

NGO and Community Facilitators

Those who work in civil society, community development, or faith-based organisations and want structured methodology for teaching reasoning and leadership to the communities they serve.

Independent Coaches and Consultants

Professionals who deliver training, coaching, or facilitation independently and want the intellectual depth and credibility of a licensed SRLHD curriculum behind their practice.

Youth Programme Facilitators

Individuals and organisations working with young people who want to deliver SRLHD curriculum under licence with full pedagogical support.

Programme Structure

Two Movements

Eight courses. Two movements. The first forms the educator. The second authorises the practice. Lesson content is in development and will be published as each course is completed.

01

EDUC 501 — 504

Pedagogical Foundations

Before you can teach this curriculum, you must understand the vocation, the method, and the discipline of questioning. This movement forms the educator as a facilitator of thinking — not a transmitter of content.

  • EDUC 501 — The Vocation of the Educator
  • EDUC 502 — Facilitating the CLEAR Framework
  • EDUC 503 — The Art of Socratic Questioning
  • EDUC 504 — Dialectic and Structured Debate in the Classroom

02

EDUC 505 — 508

Assessment, Contextualisation and Licensed Practice

The second movement turns formation into authorised practice. You learn to assess reflective work with judgment, adapt curriculum without distorting it, hold difficult rooms, and complete the Capstone that activates the licence.

  • EDUC 505 — Qualitative Reflection and Marking Frameworks
  • EDUC 506 — Curriculum Contextualisation and Adaptability
  • EDUC 507 — Inclusive Pedagogy and Managing Classroom Resistance
  • EDUC 508 — Educator Capstone and Supervised Practice

Our Approach

How we think about licensing

The standards we hold for our licensed educators are the same standards we hold for ourselves. There are no exceptions.

We do not franchise — we licence with rigour

SRLHD is not a franchise. We do not sell our name. We licence our curriculum to educators who have earned the right to teach it, and we hold them to the same standards we hold ourselves. This protects the credential, the institution, and above all the students.

Every licensed educator was a student first

There is no shortcut to teaching this material. You cannot facilitate a Socratic dialogue you have never sat inside. You cannot assess a reflection you have never written. Every licensed educator has been challenged, examined, and changed by the same curriculum they now teach.

Quality over reach

We could grow faster by lowering the bar for licensing. We choose not to. Every licensed educator carries the SRLHD name. Every student they teach receives a credential we stand behind. That chain of accountability is the most important thing we protect.

The Pathway

From student to certified educator

Six stages. No shortcuts. The rigour of this process is what gives the licence its credibility.

01

Complete an SRLHD Programme

All prospective licensed educators must have completed at least the Advanced Diploma. This ensures that those who teach our curriculum have genuinely experienced its full depth as students first.

02

Apply for Educator Certification

Submit a portfolio including your educational background, teaching experience, and a statement of intent describing where and to whom you plan to deliver SRLHD curriculum. We review every application individually.

03

Complete the Educator Training Programme

An intensive programme covering CLEAR methodology facilitation, Socratic questioning technique, assessment design, inclusive pedagogy, and the SRLHD approach to structured reflection.

04

Supervised Practice

Deliver SRLHD curriculum under the observation of a Senior Educator. You will receive detailed written feedback and a final readiness assessment before independent delivery is authorised.

05

Certification and Licence Award

Upon successful completion, you receive the SRLHD Educator Certification and your chosen licence tier is activated. You may begin independent delivery immediately.

06

Continuing Development

Licensed educators submit an annual portfolio demonstrating continuing professional development, student outcomes, and reflective practice. Licences that lapse can be reactivated through a streamlined process.

Educator vs Practitioner

Two pathways.
One standard.

Both pathways demand the same formation. Both carry the same name. The difference is where you take it.

Practitioner Certification

Deliver within SRLHD

Practitioners are part of the SRLHD institutional faculty. They deliver our programmes. Their students receive SRLHD credentials directly. Think of them as the permanent teaching staff.

Educator Licence

Deliver beyond SRLHD

Licensed educators deliver SRLHD curriculum externally — in their own institutions, communities, or practices. They carry our name and our standards into contexts we could not otherwise reach. Think of them as the extended faculty.

Common Questions

What prospective educators ask

Do I need to complete the Practitioner Certification to become a licensed educator?

No. The Practitioner Certification and the Educator Licence are separate pathways. Practitioners deliver within SRLHD's own programmes. Licensed educators deliver externally under their own or their organisation's name, using SRLHD curriculum under licence.

Can my organisation apply without individual staff having completed SRLHD programmes?

No. Every individual who will deliver SRLHD curriculum must personally hold the Educator Certification. An institution cannot be licensed in isolation — its educators are certified individually, and the institution holds a programme licence that enables collective delivery.

What happens if my licence lapses?

A lapsed licence means you may no longer issue SRLHD-verified certificates or use the SRLHD name in marketing. Your academic achievements remain valid. To reactivate, submit an updated portfolio and attend a refresher calibration session.

Can I modify the curriculum?

You may contextualise — adapting examples, case studies, and discussion topics to your local context. You may not remove, replace, or substantially alter the learning outcomes, assessment framework, or CLEAR methodology structure.

What does it cost?

Educator Certification carries a programme fee. Annual licensing fees vary by tier. Contact us at partnerships@srlhd.org for a detailed fee schedule and to discuss your specific context.

“We will never reach every person who needs this education directly. But if we train the trainers well — with the same standard we hold for ourselves — we can reach far more people than any single institution ever could.”
